Harriet Quimby was the first woman to fly across the English channel, and she did it in her Bleriot monoplane.


On October 6, juror Susan Parke selected Tim's new "Amperstand" for a Merit Award in the 8th Annual Art Port Townsend Show. The show features over 70 other pieces, selected from more than 700 submitted, by artists from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, B.C., and Alaska.

Tim's shop and more than 30 other artists' studios had visitors on the Art Port Townsend Open Studio Tour, Oct. 14-15, 2006.
Tim and the Splinter Group hosted more than 1500 visitors on a rainy November weekend in a revival of the Port Townsend Annual Woodworkers Show, a 2-day display of the town's world-class craft in turning, carving, furniture-making, musical instruments, architectural woodworking, boatbuilding, and more.
